Beşiktaş is a Turkish professional sports club located in Istanbul. The club was founded in 1903, and is mainly known for its football team, which currently plays in the Süper Lig, the top-tier league in Turkey. The club is also one of the three founding members of the league that never suffered relegation, with the other teams being Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray. Beşiktaş is regarded as one of the most successful football clubs in Turkish domestic football, and has one of the largest fanbase in the country.
