RB Leipzig, also known as Red Bull Leipzig, is a German professional football club located in Leipzig, Germany, that was founded in 2009, when the Red Bull company acquired the rights of German club SSV Markranstädt and rebranded it into RB Leipzig. The club currently plays in the Bundesliga, the top-tier league in Germany.
