The Turkey national football team represents Turkey in international football. Turkey has a rich footballing history, with its most notable achievement being a third-place finish in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The team has qualified for the FIFA World Cup finals twice, and has also reached the semi-finals of the UEFA European Championship in 2008.
