Roma is an Italian professional sports club located in Rome, Italy that was founded in 1927 by Italo Foschi, following the merger of three clubs in the city known as FBC Roma, SS Alba-Audace Roma and Fortitudo-Pro Roma SGS. The club is mainly known for its football team, which currently plays in Serie A, the top-tier league in the Italian football league system.
