Chelsea is an English professional football club located in London, England. The club was founded in 1905 by Gus Mears, following his acquisition of Stamford Bridge Athletics Ground and turning it into a football stadium. The club currently plays in the Premier League, the top-tier league in England. Chelsea is one of the most successful clubs in English and European football history, the first English side to win all three major UEFA competitions, and the only club in to win these competitions twice. Chelsea is also the only club from London to win the UEFA Champions League.
