Leeds United is an English professional football club located in Leeds. The club was founded in 1919 as a successor to Leeds City FC, a club that was dissolved due to financial reasons. The club currently plays in the EFL Championship. Leeds United is known for reaching two European finals during the 1970s, losing both encounters against Milan and Bayern Munich in the 1973 European Cup and 1973 European Cup Winners' Cup finals, respectively.
